Erika has 25 years experience teaching and training dressage. She has had her young rider students invited(qualify), and participate in the USDF Young Rider clinics 6 times .Erika trained for two years with Michael Poulin in her Early 20's, before that She had an extensive background in combined training, hunters,and jumpers .Erika grew up on a horse farm and has been riding since 5. However, once she was bitten with the dressage bug that was it, she was hooked. Erika has her USDF Bronze and Silver Medals and is a USDF L Program Graduate with distinction. She has  participated in clinics with Scott Hassler, Michael Klimke,  Linda Zang, Betsy Steiner,and Max Gaywyler (and many more).She has Qualified and been invited to the USDF Trainers Symposiums and earned her USDF Bronze Medal in the USDF University Program,all in the pursuit of knowledge which is ongoing as dressage is the most humbling and  inspiring sport one can pursue.  

Shawntyr  now 17 yrs old, (pictured above with Erika) is trained through Grand Prix( by Erika) .He has won the East Coast Arabian Championships at Grand Prix, as well  as Intermediare I and Prix St Georges. In 2006 he qualified and competed in the prestigious BLM Finals at Intermediare II Open division and placed 5th.(With Erika Fleury). He has been leased by a Junior for FEI Ponies, FEI JR' S and has competed at Devon in FEI Young Riders. 

Oakbourne Farm is a boarding and Dressage training facility welcoming all students. We offer full board ranging from $550 to $800.Training board can be arranged according to your horse's needs.We teach all ages of students.Our philosophy is that Dressage should be applied and taught with patience,kindness,perseverance, and logic.We teach skills on how to care for the horse from the ground up for those who are interested in learning it all, and of course, we should have fun learning. Working Student programs are available.
